Monthly Budget Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This policy explains how Monthly Budget & Bill Planner (“the app”) handles your information. The app is made and published by Linas Nutautas under the name linasdev (“we”), an independent developer based in Norway.
At a glance
| What | What it covers | Leaves your device? |
|---|---|---|
| Your records | Everything you enter, stored in the app on your device | No |
| Purchases (RevenueCat) | Purchase history and an anonymous app user ID | Yes — to RevenueCat |
| Crash reports (Sentry) | Crash and error reports with technical device details | Yes — to Sentry |
| Usage analytics (TelemetryDeck) | Anonymous feature usage, hashed and processed in the EU | Yes — to TelemetryDeck |
Your records
Monthly Budget does not require an account, and we do not know who you are. Everything you enter is stored in the app on your device. We have no server that holds your records, and we cannot see them.
Deleting the app deletes the data stored in it on that device. Keep a backup of your device if you want to be able to restore your records.
Purchases (RevenueCat)
Monthly Budget uses RevenueCat to manage purchases and check which features you have unlocked. Payments themselves are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. RevenueCat processes your purchase history, an anonymous app user ID and basic device information. For details, see the RevenueCat privacy policy.
Crash reports (Sentry)
We use Sentry to collect crash and error reports so we can find and fix bugs. A report contains technical information such as the device model, operating system version, app version and a stack trace showing what the app was doing when the problem occurred. Reports are not linked to your name or email address, and the SDK is configured not to attach your IP address. For details, see the Sentry privacy policy.
Usage analytics (TelemetryDeck)
We use the privacy-friendly analytics service TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Augsburg, Germany) to understand which features are used, so we can decide what to improve and build next. The data includes an anonymized identifier per app installation, basic in-app events (for example "app launched" or "screen opened"), and device metadata such as device type, operating system version and app version.
Identifiers are hashed and salted so that neither we nor TelemetryDeck can trace them back to you. No IP addresses are stored, no cookies or tracking technologies are used, and the data is processed on servers in the European Union.
Security
We use commercially reasonable means to protect your information, such as encrypted connections for everything sent over the internet. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Because the app has no accounts, we hold no personal data we could link to you. Data processed by the services above is anonymous or pseudonymous. If you have contacted us by email or through this website, you can ask us to access, correct or delete what we hold about you, or object to how we use it. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in Norway, Datatilsynet.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The app and this page may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
